学生就业 works with all University departments and the community to create part-time and summer employment opportunities for 学生. As part of the Office of Financial Aid and 奖学金, we administer the 联邦半工半读的 Program university-wide. 目的 of 学生就业 is to aid 学生 in obtaining employment that will help finance their education and develop work skills for their 未来的职业选择.

A student employee is a part-time employee who is enrolled and is regularly attending classes at 大峡谷州立大学. 的 primary purpose for being at 大峡谷州立大学 is to 继续他/她的教育. Such employment, t在这里fore, is interim or temporary and incidental to the pursuit of an education. 学生 employees shall not work more than twenty-five (25) hours per week. A student must be enrolled for a minimum of six credits each term to be 在校就业.

We provide an opportunity for practical work experience as a means of financial assistance while at Grand Valley. 学生就业 provides an online resource, 工作日, enabling 学生 to search for employment opportunities on-campus. We also partner with off-campus employers through 握手 to connect 学生 and alumni to employment opportunities both in west 密歇根 and throughout the country. You decide which jobs to apply for. You may want to select jobs based on your work experience, location, and interest.

握手 is the job sharing platform that Grand Valley uses to help 学生 find off-campus employment. Not only does 握手 help 学生 locate off-campus employment, it also has the ability to connect 学生 to internships, part-time employment or even a career after graduation. 学生 also have the ability to narrow down their search based on their skill set or in a field they are interested in.
